Philosophy

  • The Peters Township lacrosse program will foster the development of each individual player's skills and knowledge of the game, and provide each player with the opportunity to achieve his highest level of success.
  • The program will stress the fundamentals of the game of lacrosse, as well as provide each participant with a great lacrosse experience from the time he enters the program as a freshman through graduation.
  • The lacrosse program will strive to create a sense of respect for wearing the Peters Township lacrosse jersey and the commitment that it represents.
  • All athletes will be expected to work hard in order to develop character, accountability and responsibility. The ultimate goal of the program is to make each player understand the importance of being a team member, both in lacrosse and the larger community.
  • Lacrosse is the ultimate team sport, and every participant will learn that only as a team will we achieve.

Goals

  • To instill that the young men in this program are student athletes, with an emphasis on student
  • To emphasize and develop character and integrity
  • To develop a quality work ethic
  • To learn to sacrifice for the better of the team
  • To develop a high level of performance
  • To deal with and overcome adversity
  • To continue to be one of western Pennsylvania’s elite lacrosse programs
  • To demonstrate the quality of good sportsmanship
  • To foster a lacrosse culture and community that facilitates the growth of boys lacrosse in the Peters Township community

Definition of Success

  • Field competitive programs at all levels.

PT Alumni makes Captain on our Nation's Top Division III Team

by Terra Mauro

Congratulations are in order for Kevin Kustron, along with his parents, Bob and Janice Kustron! Kevin (#41), a senior at Salisbury, has been chosen as a Captain for the Salisbury Seagulls Men's Lacrosse Team for the 2008 season. Salisbury has won the NCAA Division III Men's Championship for four out of the last five years. Kevin wore #71 when he played lacrosse as one of our very own Peters Township Indians. He graduated from PTHS in 2004, and was distinguished as an All-American by US Lacrosse. We are proud of Kevin and all of his accomplishments, on and off the field!

Game Write-ups

Our goal is to have a "news" article on each game played. Each Team has its own "home" page with a "news" page:

If you have pictures or short video clips, send them to the webmaster {epmauro@sprynet.com} for publication consideration.
