  PTBLA Bingo Fundraising Committee

Description

The membership decided that instead of many fundraisers throughout the year, to run one event - The Annual PTBLA Benya & Hoskins Bingo. Truely, a gala event including Bingo through the night, food, drinks, gift basket raffles and more.


Five Missions:

  1. Raise funds for our Association operation.
  2. Contribute funds to the Frank Lo Castro Scholarship Fund.
  3. Encourage corporate sponsorship
  4. Reduce the assessments of lacrosse fees.
  5. Community outreach

Events

The Annual PTBLA Benya & Hoskins Bingo - Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Saint Louis de Marillac Community Center.

This is what happened

  • Bingo night volunteers, wore their Peters LAX T-Shirt or a game jerseys for the Bingo.
  • Parking - St. Louise will be having 6:00 pm mass at the same time our bingo event starts.  Please plan to park in the lot behind the school. This lot has 200 spots.   The entrance to the event will be a short walk.  Players will be there to direct everyone. Handicap parking is available near the entrance door we are using .
  • Players made an appearence at 9:30.

Preparation

  • Donated Cookies dropped off between 12:00 and 6:00 .   Please place them on a disposable dish if possible.
  • All Set-up / decorating help please come to the hall at 12:00 on the 10th. Some players helped.
  • All other Volunteers came at 5:00pm
  • 8:00 kitchen duty , please come by 7:30.

Bingo Cards
Bingo card packets will be sold at the door for $20.00.  2 for $30.00 per person. Each packet has 20 games, with 6 cards to play per game.   Special games cards and the jackpot are included.  

  • The Jackpot will pay $500.00
  • Gift Basket Raffle
    50/50
  • Al-Clad silent auction
  • Alexander gym silent auction

Ticket Sales
Please remember when selling your tickets that this is an adults only event!

We would like to sell all the tickets before the event,
but walk-ins are welcome.

They will pay $10.00 at the door , the same as the ticket price.

It was a great night.


Organization

The Chair of the Bingo Fundraising Committee is Mary Broglie. In addition to being the primary executive of all fundraising activities, she coordinates essential sub-committees:

  • Ticket Sales
  • Corporate Sponsors
  • Advertising
  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Bingo Specialist
  • Set up and clean up Crew
  • Gift Basket Raffle

Group Fundraising Guidelines

We decided upon guidelines for group fundraising for this year. First of all, the organization will give a refund to the general membership if at the end of the lacrosse year, we have $5000 to carry forth for the next year’s budget, and $1500 to put into a scholarship/hardship fund for players who may need this. This is $6500 total to carry forward to next year. Once that general guideline has been met, the following criteria will apply.

Eligibility will be based on the following things, and will go as follows. The 1st two items listed are mandatory.

  1. Paid in Full on the $700 assessment fee for players.
  2. Presell six (6) PTBLA Bingo tickets for $10 each. ($60 total)

You may choose one of the following, in addition to the top two mandatory items.

  1. Volunteer and help out on Bingo night.
  2. Support and participate as a volunteer in PTBLA another committee or help in the concession stand

Refunds will be given out by the Treasurer on or after the banquet held in June of 2007.
